Chandigarh, January 2025 – In a powerful initiative to inspire young minds towards creative careers, SXILL, in association with ASIFA, co-hosted International Animation Day (IAD) celebrations across key educational institutions in Chandigarh.

The IAD event was held at PG Government College, Sector 46 on January 24, followed by a large-scale celebration at Government Polytechnic for Women, Sector 10 on January 29, where over 400+ students and faculty participated with great enthusiasm.

The event was led by Vineet Raj Kapoor, ASIFA Evangelist and Founder of SXILL, and featured Mangat Chauhan, Senior Animation Supervisor (Motu Patlu) and Mentor at SXILL. Kapoor gave an insightful talk on the global mission of ASIFA and how it plays a vital role in building awareness about careers in animation and design. He emphasized how SXILL, as a leading animation institute, supports this mission through continuous outreach and expert mentoring.

Mangat Chauhan educated the attendees on the complete animation production pipeline, sharing industry insights into animation film development and how students can find careers across each stage—from pre-production to post.

Kapoor also shed light on career roadmaps in animation, storytelling, UX design, and digital arts, encouraging students to align their passions with skill-building. He highlighted the importance of decision-making in career success, illustrating it with stories from global changemakers like Steve Jobs.

These sessions mark another step in SXILL’s ongoing commitment to bridging industry and academia while nurturing the future of India’s animation ecosystem.
